Dorothy Long, City Treasurer
Dorothy Long was appointed as the Finance Director and City Treasurer in July 2018.
This department is responsible for the revenue and expenditure forecasting of the City Budget, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and benefits, tax reporting, human resources, risk management, occupancy tax, utility billing, and business license distribution.
The City of Alturas operates on a fiscal year basis beginning July 1st through June 30th.
The financial records are audited annually by a qualified independent certified public accounting firm. These reports are distributed to the audit committee for review.
